Celebrating a year of the Impact Alliance
Just one year on from its official launch, Impact Alliance members came together to celebrate building a collective that is already making a difference to communities across the West of England
The Impact Alliance mission statement is ‘Together, we can do more’, and today Impact Alliance took the chance to celebrate how, by working together, the Alliance has made key achievements in only a year since its official launch:
Completion of Phase One by our Pilot Communities: Charfield, the Somer Valley, the Mendip Villages, Stockwood and Global Majority Older People. This ‘Discovery’ phase allowed time for each group to do a deep dive into how loneliness manifests in their communities, and its insights will provide the sound evidence base on which to identify potential interventions.
Development of two major ‘Scaling Best Practice’ programmes to roll out across the West of England through 2026 (watch this space!)
Appointment of the Head of Programmes and Partnerships, Anne Cooke, and of a 3-year Research Fellow post Karen Gray to properly understand the impact of what we’re doing – what’s working, and (importantly) what isn’t.
Securing funding from multiple partners and across sectors, all united in the desire to support a radically re-imagined funding model which amplifies collective impact.
Every conversation, meeting, email, minute of time, and moment of commitment given freely by Impact Alliance members has been a powerful step towards making our society more inclusive, connected and supportive. By working together, the Impact Alliance stands as a beacon of hope and progress, inviting confidence and inspiring continued collaboration to shape a better future together.
If you’re working to reduce loneliness or have bold ideas to strengthen connection in your community, we’d love to hear from you. Email us at info@impact-alliance.org.uk.
