Head of Programmes and Parternships appointed to take the impact alliance into a new phase
Today, the Impact Alliance is delighted to welcome Dr Anne Cooke to the post of ‘Head of Programmes and Partnerships’, marking the start of an exciting new phase for the Alliance.
The role will be pivotal in co-ordinating the Alliance’s work across the West of England. It marks a key point in turning planning into action, ensuring our initiatives are impactful, inclusive, and grounded in the real needs of our communities.
Anne’s background lies in neuroscience, first as a researcher and then moving out of the lab to set up ‘Bristol Neuroscience’, an initiative to foster collaboration and engagement across universities, hospitals and wider society in the Bristol area.
Her career has continued largely in research management, science administration and public engagement. She has experience across academia, not-for-profit and commercial sectors, holding posts including Association Manager with the British Anaesthetic and Respiratory Equipment Manufacturers’ Association and Chief Executive of the British Neuroscience Association, with the common theme being to enable people to achieve shared goals by working together as a community.
“I am excited and grateful to the Impact Alliance for this chance to, ‘Make loneliness a stranger’. Loneliness is intrinsically linked to people and community, and it is only by working with and across local communities that we can achieve this aim. I can’t wait to meet everyone involved in the Alliance, learn from them, and build a brand new movement for change.”
